Played in 13 games with 12 starts…Saw limited action vs. Clemson after leaving the Boston College game after just 9 plays with an abdomen injury…Recorded a career-high 47 tackles (32 solo) with 4.5 sacks for minus 13 yards, 9 stops for losses of 26 yards and 12 quarterback pressures…Also broke up 2 pass attempts…Earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honorable mention.
2010 SEASON:
Played in 11 games as a reserve defensive tackle, including a season-high 21 snaps against Virginia Tech...Missed the Georgia Tech game with a head injury…Registered 14 tackles (11 solo) on 160 snaps, including 2 stops for loss and a pressure.

Played in 13 games with 3 starts…Started the season opener at South Carolina and the last 2 games of the regular season vs. North Carolina and Miami...Had a 10-yard sack in the win over the Hurricanes...Saw action in 23 plays in N.C. State’s bowl game, he was recovering from a shoulder injury…Collected 23 tackles (15 solo) with 2 sacks, 2.5 stops for losses of 13 yards and 8 pressures.

Named an honorable mention freshman All-America by The Sporting News…Played in 11 games with no starts…Finished with 33 tackles (24 solo), 5 tackles for losses of 8 yards and a sack…Played defensive tackle in the first 6 games of the season, then moved to end vs. East Carolina contest…Got his 1st sack vs. ECU…Was 21 years old when he began his freshman campaign.
PREP FOOTBALL:
Started playing football when he was 15, the youngest age kids can play in Germany…Played outside linebacker and defensive line for his team, the Weinheim Longhorns…Named to the league's all-star team all 4 seasons and was the league’s Rookie of the Year…Was his team's leading tackler his final campaign and was the Weinheim defensive MVP all 4 years.
