Holsey was named All-Atlantic Coast Conference 2nd-team by the 45 members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association…Started 13 games at cornerback, missing the Boston College contest with a hamstring strain suffered vs. Wake Forest and sat out most of the league title clash after he suffered a concussion in the first quarter vs. Clemson. Holsey received All-America 2nd-team honors from the Associated Press and was a first-team choice by Walter Camp…Also named 1st-team All-ACC…Started 13 games, sitting out the East Carolina clash due to a team rules violation…Recorded 39 tackles (34 solo), deflected 8 passes and tied the school record while leading the nation with 9 interceptions for 110 yards in returns (12.2-yard avg.)…Gained 190 yards on nine kickoff returns (21.1-yard avg.) and 236 yards on 19 punt returns that included 1 touchdown. His average of 12.4 yards per runback ranked 2nd in the ACC and 19th nationally...Posted 4 tackles, a breakup and an interception vs. Boston College…Had 6 tackles, 4 pass breakups and 3 interceptions at N.C. HIGH SCHOOL:
Holsey attended Atlantic High School in Delray Beach (Fla.)…A 3-year starter, he recorded 37 tackles and 5 interceptions as a senior and also caught 15 passes for 300 yards and 5 touchdowns…Returned 3punts and 2 kickoffs for touchdowns in 2008, but a late season injury forced him to miss Atlantic’s regional semifinal playoff game, which turned out to be the team’s only loss of the season.
