-    McClain was the Giants' nominee for the NFL’s first Sportsmanship Award, which will recognize annually an NFL player who “best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition.”…He was 1 of 5 finalists for the NFL Players Association's Byron "Whizzer" White Award, recognizing players who go above and beyond to perform community service in their team cities and hometowns…McClain has been very community-minded with both the Ravens and Giants…For the 5th consecutive year, he bought, he purchased and distributed Thanksgiving turkeys, food and supplies for 53 needy families (53 is his jersey number)…McClain has been a spokesman for the Salvation Army, an organization he spent a lot of time at as a child growing up in Philadelphia.
