The Pro Football Hall of Fame Game is a time to celebrate the past. But it’s also about looking to the future.

While the event is highlighted by that year’s class being inducted, there are two teams taking the field for the first time as they embark on their respective seasons. And the last time the Giants opened up in Canton, Ohio, they saw the beginning of one of the most productive careers at his position in franchise history: tight end Jeremy Shockey.

The 14th overall pick out of Miami started with a bang, racking up 80 yards and a touchdown on four catches in the Giants’ 34-17 victory over the expansion team Houston Texans in August of 2002. Shockey went on to post 74 receptions for 894 yards and two touchdowns that season, leading us to our poll question of the day:
