IT WAS OVER WHEN…
Wide receiver Corey Washington caught Nassib’s third and final touchdown pass from 31 yards out to put the Giants ahead by two possessions with 2:09 left in the game.
WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT THE OFFENSE
From there, the offense had “too many negative plays,” according to Manning, as a result of protection and a few penalties. However, the Giants built toward the starters’ longest drive of the preseason at the end of the first half. That’s when Manning (12-of-21 for 139 yards and a touchdown) led an 11-play, 91-yard scoring drive capped by a 15-yard touchdown to Rueben Randle, who also had a nice 26-yard catch earlier in the half. Meanwhile, Jennings rushed 13 times for 67 yards (with a long of 23) while showing good skills in pass protection, especially on the Giants’ aforementioned possession.
That would do it for the core group of starters, who were taken out at halftime. Nassib, who worked his way back up to the No. 2 quarterback after a brief period behind Curtis Painter, looked impressive in completing 8-of-12 passes for 103 yards and three touchdowns to help the Giants pull away in the fourth quarter.

WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT THE SPECIAL TEAMS
Parker again handled primary punt return duties, but the Giants couldn’t get much going in either return department. However, their coverage teams were mostly tight while Steve Weatherford landed three punts inside the 20-yard line.
LB Devon Kennard had eight tackles (four solo); S Nat Berhe had six tackles (three solo); RB Andre Williams rushed 11 times for 49 yards and a touchdown, the bulk of which came on a 33-yard run in the fourth quarter; Weston Richburg rotated with Brandon Mosley at right guard with the first team before taking over left guard when Geoff Schwartz (toe) had to leave the game in the second quarter; WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) did not play.
LB Mark Herzlich, FB John Conner, and LB Jacquian Williams.
