Get caught up with the latest Big Blue happenings

1. Some light throwing. After undergoing an ankle procedure last month, Eli Manning has taken another step in his recovery by doing “some light throwing,” according to his brother and Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.

2. Make the Case. In our “Make the Case” web series, we look at the selections provided by two NFL draft experts and their reasons why. Then we ask you, the fans, to weigh in on which player you would like the Giants to select if available at No. 12. The current debate is at offensive tackle. NFL Media analyst and former Washington Redskins and Houston Texans general manager Charley Casserly projects Notre Dame’s Zack Martin to go to the Giants, while’s Mike Huguenin has them selecting Taylor Lewan out of Michigan.

3. Dottino on the clock. has chosen three draft-day scenarios for a new web series leading up to the 2014 NFL Draft, which begins May 8. 5. Reese surprises lucky fan. Robert Sutherland, a retired New York City fireman from North Bellmore, N.Y., was the winner of the Giants’ Draft Day Experience, which includes presenting Big Blue’s No. 1 Nike jersey to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for the Giants’ first-round pick in the upcoming draft on May 8. Sutherland will also carry the New York Giants New Era Draft Cap on the red carpet leading up to the event at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
