DRAKE STOPS CONCERT TO GET ODELL BECKHAM JR. TO SIGN A JERSEY
BY MATT COHEN
Odell Beckham Jr. is used to people coming to watch him perform. The star wide receiver experienced a bit of a role reversal this week when he attended a Drake concert in England.
During the show, Drake looked into the crowd and saw a fan with a Beckham No. 13 Giants jersey. With Beckham in the audience, Drake held up the show to bring Beckham on stage so he could sign the jersey for the fan.
“Odell, you see this? Shout-out my brother Odell. He’s right there, too,” Drake said, holding up the jersey. “Hold on, I’m going to get him to sign that jersey for you.”
Beckham and Drake have become close friends over the years. The wide receiver even stayed at the hip-hop artist’s California home during a stretch last offseason to train. The two first became tight after Beckham attended several of Drake’s shows a few years back.
“It’s somebody whose mindset is the same as yours and they want nothing but success,” Beckham said last year. “They want to be the best. We just click on a level like that.”
